The main idea of the artical and podcast is that scientest put up a machine up to beep when ever it scences gravitational waves colide.

I agree with you they actually don't have to have use a machine to hear waves:D (But they could if they wanted to)

They did use a machine to sense gravitational waves but it is also about how Einsteins theory was correct and how the scientists finally found a way to track the waves and the most important part is about the way the method found the gravitational waves.

I messed up a little. I meant to say they should use a machine to sense them ( but they could find it out without one but that would be extremely hard to do it)

The main idea of the article and podcast is to inform people that Einstein's prediction was right and that scientists proved it right with lasers and mirrors. A question a have about gravitational waves is how they are made.

The main idea of the podcast and article is about gravity and how people just discovered the first big gravitational wave that was tracked from when the gravitational waves collide. A question I have is," When was the first machine made and HOW did they improve the second machine?"

I think the main idea of the podcast and the article is that scientists are trying to get everybody to know that they cracked the code of Einstein's theory that there are gravitational waves. One question I have is how are gravitational waves are made. Also, how did Einstein have so many theories about gravity and relativity?

I think the main idea is to find out if Albert Einsteins theory of the gravitation waves is true or not true . This is my answer because the people were trying to find out if they could listen to the gravitational wave to see if they are real . Also, to see if Alberts theory is correct and his math problem is correct . This is also my answer because I have evidence for my answer . In the article , they had an expirement about listening to the wave . Because you can not see a gravitational wave. First, they did'nt have any luck but later on they found it . This is my answer .

One question that I have though is that how would young(I'm talking kindergarten and 1st grade)children get to hear the sound with out breaking anything in the lab? ( Honestly I think this is a bad question so tell me if it is :P)

The gravitational waves isn't used by a machine, scientist used billions of dollars (lasers, detectors), they detected the gravitational waves and saw them, the light that bounced off the mirrors would provide the space of a gravitational wave. The two detectors, Washington and Louisiana which the government built for the country, they detected the gravitational waves but can't be caught.

The main idea of both the article and the podcast is that scientists finally heard a gravitational wave from, not just 1 black hole, but 2 black holes! In the podcast it says that it took so long, I bet it felt like forever to hear that wave. In the article it talks about David Scott, who dropped a hammer and feather on the moon. Both objects landed on the ground of the moon, at the same time! That's unbelievable! A question I have about gravitational waves is: How do gravitational waves work?

My question for this is "What will scientists do with these gravitational waves? :)
