I think that the women that should be on the 20 dollar bill should be Rosa Parks because she fought for the rights of black Americans and that is very important because there was a lot of black Americans there that weren't treated right like for example they couldn't use the same bathrooms and buses together with white people.

Yes I do believe and think that a women should be on the $20 bill. Why shouldn't here be? People used to think that women couldn't do anything that men did like hunting and voting. But yet there were so many famous women that made such a change in our lives. Just as it states in the article. "Eleanor Roosevelt was a first lady. She did a lot to help other people. Harriet Tubman fought against slavery. Rosa Parks was a civil rights activist. She fought for the rights of black Americans. Wilma Mankiller was the first woman elected chief of a big Native American tribe." Those are the 4 women that were elected to be on the $20 bill. They helped other people, fought for what they thought was right and even more.Yet people think that girls should not be able to do the same as men. All of the women that were chose to be on the $20 bill should be allowed. There is no absolute reason why a women that helped other people and fought for their own rights should not be on a $20 bill.

Yes, I do think that there should be a woman on the 20 dollar bill because Andrew Jackson isn't fit to be on the 20 dollar bill. He helped make the Trail of Tears, and I don't think that should make him have his own pretty face on money. My cousin who is in 6th grade checked out a book from the library about Andrew Jackson. He told me that Andrew Jackson was basically a villian. Why should a villian have his own dollar bill? He shouldn't. Also, according to the text, nothing has really changed since 1929. Women still aren't on the money, unless you count the Sacagwea dollar coin. I think that Rosa Parks, Elenor Roosevelt, or Harriet Tubman should be on the 20 dollar bill because no one really knows about Wilma Mankiller.

i think a woman should be on a $20 bill because, well, why not? a lot of woman made rights, for example, rosa parks helped end segregation from colored and white. also, sacagwia (person on the $1 coin) was very helpful and helped save some of a boat's cargo when it got ship wrecked. altogether, i think it is time for a woman to be on a bill.

I think that women should definitely be on the $20 bill because many women played important parts in history. I would also say that Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, and Wilma Mankiller should be on the list of possible women because they were not only women, they were African American and Native American, two of the least respected races in the U.S. I agree with the author: "President Jackson helped pass laws that forced Native Americans to leave their lands. They had to go far away. The forced moving of the Native Americans is known as the Trail of Tears. This is one reason why the group wants to change the $20." I think it is also a reason why a Native American should be on the $20. Also, I think there should be a choice of "a Native American to replace Andrew Jackson," as the article puts it.

I think that a woman should be on the $20. "Right now there are no women on U.S. paper money." The women are not apprciated as much as the men on the dollars and coins. "Eleanor Roosevelt was a first lady. She did a lot to help other people. Harriet Tubman fought against slavery. Rosa Parks was a civil rights activist. She fought for the rights of black Americans. Wilma Mankiller was the first woman elected chief of a big Native American tribe." The women can do as much help in the world as men can do. they deserve to be on the $20. They helped people as much as Andrew Jackson. Yet people think that girls should not be able to do the same as men, they are supposed to have equal rights, as many activists fought for in the past. All of the women that were chose to be on the $20 bill should be allowed to. There is no reason why a women that helped other people make the laws fair should not be on a $20 bill.

Yes, I think that women should be in $20 bill because there are a lot of men face printed on the bills and coins. For example, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, John F. Kennedy and more. President Andrew Jackson wasn't nice. In the article it said that President Jackson helped force the Native Americans to leave their land to a far away place, and that was called the Trail of Tears. In my opinion Rosa Parks should be chosen to be printed on the $20 bill because she fought for equal rights of her type of skin.

I do think that a woman face should be on the 20 dollar bill because men and woman are created the same and what is the problem with a woman face on a bill. The person on the bill should be either Rosa Parks or Eleanor Roosevelt because I think they were a bigger part of our community than Tubman and Mankiller. But I think that any of them would be a good fit, including Dolores Huerta because she worked beside Cesar Chavez who was an important man. Anyone can really be on that bill, though.

Yes i do think that women should be on the twenty dollar bill . Not only men are important in our history. Even Cesar Chavez was said to popularize something that his female partner, Dolors Huerta, popularized. Girls need to be noticed and not forgotten. If I could vote, I would vote for women on the $20 bill. Women deserve more than just being in history books. I think a $20 bill is a good start. I also don't like the the Trail of Tears cause I'm Native American and Andrew Jackson started the Trail, so I wouldn't like someone kind of mean to my kind kind on a dollar bill. To me it is kind of mean to be against natives if you yourself is native. The way i know my answer is a reasonable answer by in the article it says "President Jackson helped pass a set of laws that forced Native American tribes off their lands. The Native Americans had to move very far away. They called it the Trail of Tears." and "...replace Andrew Jackson," the group said." Well you want to no what i say? I say "OUT WITH THE OLD AND IN WITH THE NEW .BY BY ANDREW JACKSON .LET A WOMEN IN YOUR PLACE ! "

Yes. I do think that women should be allowed to be on the bills because there is no reason they shouldn't. True, the people that are on the bills had to go through a lot of work to be on it, but the women will do the same amount of work to get on one. The reason why these three women were the top choices for being on the 20 dollar bill is because they are well known people that all did things to make the world a better place."They are probably the most recognizable names, and the ones that have been taught, to some degree, in schools," Stone said. "But they are also all seen as heroic in some way. I think that's what people want: Someone who can be representative for women, who really is unequivocally someone who has touched everyone's lives." If I was allowed to vote for who would be put on the bill, I would choose Rosa Parks because I know most about her and what she did.

I think that a woman being the face of a dollar bill is a good thing to fight for. Woman her been shadowed in the face on men for decades. Like Dolores Huerta, who played a large role in history but was overlooked. The article stated that a portrait on a dollar bill had not been changed since 1929. Thats a while!! I think that a change to the look of our money is needed. And putting a female character is a very good Idea to.

I think a woman should be on the bill, because woman should deserve the same equal rights as men. I mean, there's already many presidents that are boys, but there were't any women in the dollar bills yet. It's not just men that did great things to help the world, woman did too. In the passage, it was written, "Eleanore Roosevelt was a first lady. She did a lot to help other people." Also, President Jackson created laws to force the Native Americans to leave. It was their homeland. It's also unfair. In the article, the author wrote, "President Jackson helped pass laws that forced Native Americans to leave their lands." By the way, if there was a woman face printed on a dollar bill, then it would be more fair. After all, women have the privilege to be treated the same as men.

I think that women should be put on the 20 dollar bill because there are so many women who have done great things that have made a large impact on this world, but still no one recognized them enough to put them on a bill. Harriet Tubman fought against slavery, Eleanor Roosevelt helped many people, but was under the shadow of her husband the president, and Rosa Parks did a great and powerful thing too, but wasn't as recognized as Martin Luther King. I also think that women should be put on the bill to replace president Jackson because Jackson was only put on a bill because he was a president, but he didn't really improve this world. In fact, he might have deteriorated it when he forced Native Americans to leave their homes and go some place far away. I don't think he deserves having his face on a bill. People need to start noticing all of the good deeds that these women have done. In the text it says "President Jackson helped pass laws that forced Native Americans to leave their lands. They had to go far away." If Jackson did this, he has no right to be on a bill. My last thought of why I think women should be on the dollar bill is because there has never been a woman on paper money, and I think that if there was, it would give them a chance. In the text it says,"Right now there are no women on US paper money." I hope that the woman that is voted, will assure women and girls and men and boys, that women can do anything that men can do.

I think that women should be on the $20 bill because not only men help the world, women do too so each type of gender should deserve equal rights. In fact, woman actually help the world than men.Rosa Parks deserves to be on the $20 bill because she made it clear that any skin color, black or white, should be treated the same because in my opinion,it doesn't really matter about the color,it matters if they are good people like for example Rosa Parks, she doesn't care about the color of people's skin,if she were white and a black person wanted to sit where she was sitting she wouldn't get mad and start talking trash,or she even wont let that person go to jail just because of a seat. She deserves to be on a bill or something.I wish they made an equal rights bill and gave it to Rosa Parks just because of that. She shouldn't have went to jail. Those cops are the dumbest cops ever...I don't even know how they got hired?!?!Anyway's,in conclusion,I think women should be on the $20 bill and I think both men and women should deserve equal rights.

I think that a women should be on the twenty dollar bill because it is not fair that only men are on money. The women that should be on the twenty dollar bill are, Harriet Tubman, Rosa parks, Betty Friedan and Susan B. Anthony, and Rachel Carson. They all should be on the twenty dollar bill because they each did something good to help other people. Like Harriet Tubman helped people escape slavery and Rachel Carson who worked to save the environment. My evidence from the text is, "So did Harriet Tubman, who campaigned against slavery, and civil rights activist Rosa parks". "People on the list also included women's rights supporter Betty Friedan and Susan B. Anthony, who led to push for women to be allowed to vote". "Rachel Carson, who worked to save the environment, was also in the final 15".
